L'oreal Cushion: Nude Magique and Glam Bronze

Seems like cushion foundation is everyone's jam right now. This 'cushion trend' coming from Asia side gotten everyone go bananas! All brands are trying to come up with their version, I believe Lancome was the first one of high end brands to bring theirs . But looks like drugstore giants are not staying behind. Today I wanted to talk about L'oreal Cushion Nude Magique foundation and L'Oreal Glam Bronze Cushion Soleil.

L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique Cushion Foundation

At first I was a bit skeptical about the whole idea of this cushion trend. It just never sounded promising to me. So when I got this foundation I didn't really knew what to expect. To be completely honest, the scariest thing about this foundation was those two words - 'dewy finish'. I know it's all about that glow right now, but me as an oily girl it's not something I am looking in my foundation. I decided to give it a go and grabbed shade Vanilla, which was a perfect match for my skin tone. I love the packaging, super pretty, travel friendly, light and it has a mirror. Foundation comes with a sponge but I must say it's very uncomfortable to use and too small for my liking. I would apply it using my RT wet sponge or with a buffing brush. I was very pleasantly surprised by how much coverage this product has. Foundation felt very light and my skin looked pretty much flawless after application. It leaves that 'wet skin' look, but the glow can be reduced by applying setting powder. As I've mentioned in my previous posts, I have oily/combination skin so I get shiny in my T-Zone area. Unfortunately, after 2-3 hrs of wearing this foundation I could see the shine peaking through and after about 4-5 hrs I got very oily and foundation would crease in to every single line on my face. What a shame because I really liked how it looked on my skin. I would definitely recommend this for girls who have dry skin.

L'Oreal Paris Glam Bronze Cushion Soleil
After not having much luck with Nude Magique foundation, I took a risk and bought their cushion bronzer. Once again, packaging is very pretty, I love the colours they picked for both products. Bronzer comes in one shade only (Soleil), which is very unfair for deeper skin tones. This is a warm toned bronzer and looks very natural once applied. It blends like a dream, I use it with stippling brush or RT sponge. This product is great to use on bare face or with your foundation to create that gorgeous sun kissed look! It's very buildable so you can add a little or a lot to intensify the look. I love that it leaves slight glow to your complexion and it makes your skin look like you've just came back from your holiday. It lasts all day too. I am so happy I took a risk and got this bronzer, because I just love it!

Let me know if you've tried any these two products and what are your thoughts!

Lots of love,
Indre xoxo

  3. Interesting & good to know its not for oily skin. The only time I can get away with dewy foundations is is the winter when I'm on the dry side.
