Bourjois: Healthy Mix or 123 perfect foundation?

Since I've started blogging I have learned a lot about many great brands and one of them is Bourjois. I would never stop by their stand before and one of the reasons is because I thought it's another unknown brand selling overpriced stuff. But then again, when you are in blogging world, there is no chance to miss the latest trends and the best products on the market. And that's how I've heard about Bourjois Healthy mix and 123 Perfect foundations.

BOURJOIS HEALTHY MIX FOUNDATION - many make up gurus raving about this foundation. To be honest with you, I don't know why. I can't say it's bad product, but I wouldn't say it's great either. I'm kind of lost in between. Texture is really runny and light. Coverage is very light, but buildable. I have tried applying it two ways: using Real Techniques complexion sponge and brush. Now, I prefer sponge because it really gives that air brushed skin effect. Applying with brush you have to be very careful, as any unblended stroke will be highly visible. Foundation transfers on your clothes, fingers or even hair very easily, so basically you have to keep everything away from your face. Everyone says it smells like apricots and fruits, which I totally disagree because I can't smell nothing at all. The only thing I like about this foundation is the dewy glowing look it gives to my skin. If you have oily skin I would advise you to stay far away from this foundation. I think you know the reason why...

BOURJOIS 123 PERFECT FOUNDATION -  It's slightly different and completely opposite to Healthy mix. And for that reason I prefer 123 Perfect foundation. Texture wise, it's similar but not so runny. Coverage is slightly better, but not miracle. Buildable though. Packaging says that foundation contains pigments to cover dark circles, dull complexion and redness, which it's not quite right. It didn't cover my redness or dark circles completely. But that's why God created concealer, right?
I love applying it with the damp sponge, it gives great finish. 123 Perfect leaves very light velvet, kind of matte finish which lasts quite well if powder applied. And that's why this foundation wins the battle. I have bought both foundations in 51 Vanilla shade and it perfect for my skin tone.

Have you tried Bourjois Healthy Mix or 123 Perfect foundations? Which is your favorite? I would love to know what you think!

  1. Completely opposite from what I've experienced with this foundation, but every skin is different, right? :) I do love the foundation, so I will try and give a go to 1 2 3 perfect foundation as well :)

  2. I think Bourjois have some really great budget foundation options. I haven't tried either of these but do have the Healthy Mix Serum which I love for my dry skin & the 123 CC cream which I also enjoy using when I want a quick light base. 3. Awesome review. I totally agree. I actually buy both. I usually have oily skin so I prefer 123 Perfect but when I use that everyday my skin gets dry so I take a break and use Healthy Mix. It's handy to keep both so I can adjust according to my skin condition. I recommond their compact powder!
